GOLDMAN HAT TRICK FUELS 10-5 WIN FOR UTICA CITY

Harrisburg, PA - Utica City FC looked to continue their momentum on Friday night in Harrisburg. They started the game with two unanswered, and never looked back. Timmy Goldman had a hat trick, while Joey Tavernese and Rafa Godoi each tallied 3 points. They completed a dominant 10-5 road win to move to 6-12 on the year. 

Utica City picked up where they left off Sunday in the first quarter. They scored back to back goals to kick off the game. First, Timmy Goldman curried on off an assist from Joey Tavernese. Ben Ramin followed up three minutes later with an unassisted goal and UCFC led 2-0. Harrisburg would follow with two unanswered from Raphael Araujo and Dominic Francis.

Twenty seconds after Harrisburg’s second goal, Utica City Captain Bo Jelovac found the back of the net and made it a 3-2 game before the end of the first half.

In the second half, UCFC lit it up. They burried five unanswered goals. Tim Goldman and Issak Somow scored 40 seconds apart to make it 5-2. Joey Tavernese and Kevin Blackwood followed suit and scored 35 seconds apart to make it 8-2. Harrisburg pushed back a bit, with Alejandro Chavez scoring to cut the lead back to five. Utica City would burry two unanswered from Tavernese and Bourdeau. After two garbage time goals from Harrisburg, Utica City toppled the heat 10-4. 

UCFC now stands at 6-12 and has won two in a row. They return home to play the defending champion San Diego Sockers on Sunday at 2 P.M. Tickets are still available at uticacityfc.com/tickets
