UCFC COMPLETES COMEBACK IN OVERTIME THRILLER

Utica City FC erased a five-goal deficit and stunned the Milwaukee Wave with a 7–6 overtime victory, capped by a dramatic shorthanded game-winner from Geo Alves.

Milwaukee jumped out to a dominant start, scoring four times in the opening period and extending the lead to 6–1 early in the third behind multi-goal performances from Alex Sanchez and Oscar Flores.

UCFC began to chip away as Kyle Gehnrich opened the comeback late in the second, before Sergio Pinal ignited the rally with a natural hat trick spanning the third and fourth quarters. Mehrshad Ahmadi and Thayssan Santos added goals down the stretch, with Santos’ six-attacker strike at 13:17 of the fourth tying the match at 6–6.

In overtime, despite being down a man, Alves broke free and buried the shorthanded winner at 1:42 to complete one of the most improbable comeback wins of the season for Utica City FC.
