UCFC STUNS BALTIMORE IN OVERTIME WIN

Utica City FC and the Baltimore Blast delivered a back-and-forth thriller that featured 13 goals, multiple lead changes, and a dramatic overtime finish, with UCFC ultimately skating away with a 7–6 road victory. Utica struck first midway through the opening quarter when Mehrshad Ahmadi opened the scoring, but Baltimore responded quickly to level the match. The teams traded goals throughout a fast-paced second period, with Stephan Teixeira and Juan Alava finding the net for Utica, while Oumar Sylla recorded a brace and Bruno Henrique added another for the Blast, sending Baltimore into halftime holding a narrow 4–3 edge.

The drama continued after the break as Meny Silva tied the match just 13 seconds into the third quarter, only for Alejandro Chavez to restore the Blast lead minutes later. Willie Spurr answered once again for Utica to make it 5–5, but Baltimore reclaimed the advantage late in the frame on Chavez’s second goal of the night. Trailing late in regulation, Utica pushed six attackers forward and was rewarded when Sergio Pinal buried the equalizer with just over five minutes remaining, forcing overtime. It didn’t take long in the extra session, as Juan Alava scored just 20 seconds in—his second goal of the night—to complete the comeback and secure a hard-fought 7–6 win for Utica City FC.
