UTICA CHILLED BY THE HEAT

HARRISBURG, P.A. – The Harrisburg Heat defeated Utica City FC 7-4 on Friday night at the PA Farm Show Arena to spoil Freddy Moojen's first game for Utica City. Moojen, acquired from the Florida Tropics earlier this month, scored a goal and added an assist in his debut.

With Harrisburg up 1-0, Moojen leveled the contest for City midway through the second period. The striker scored on a free kick low past Harrisburg goalkeeper Matt Perrella for his first goal in black and blue. William Eskay restored the Heat's lead with three minutes to play in the first half.

Andrew Coughlin made nine stops for Utica in the first half.

The second half opened with Jake Schindler's first goal for Utica to even the game at two goals apiece. Schindler curled a low free-kick past Perrella setting the tone for a free-flowing second half.

Moojen later assisted on Bo Jelovac's score, which evened the game at 3-3. Harrisburg closed out the third period with a pair of goals to push their lead to 5-3.

Darren Toby's third goal of the year brought Utica close late in the fourth quarter, but the Heat scored two quick goals shortly thereafter to ensure their second victory of the season.

Utica City returns to the turf at the Adirondack Bank Center on Sunday, January 26 when they face the Orlando SeaWolves. Kick-off against Orlando is at 2 p.m. Tickets are still available at www.empirestatetix.com.
