UCFC MAKES 3 SELECTIONS IN 2022 MASL COLLEGE DRAFT

UTICA, NY - Today marked a new era for the MASL as they held their inaugural College Draft. The draft consisted of three total rounds, the first two comprising of territorial selections (defined as attends or attended high school and/or college in-state; born in-state; or primary residence is in-state) and the third comprising of at-large selections. The order was based on the final regular season standings from the 2021-22 season. Utica City FC held the #4, #18, and #32 overall selections and made the following choices:

#4 overall: Colin Biros, Syracuse Men's Soccer

Tommy's Take: "I was fortunate to be able to watch Colin for the last two years at Syracuse. Crafty, very good on the attack, both footed, and to me very high soccer IQ. Spoke to their associate head coach Jukka Masalin, who highly recommended that Colin could be a good player in the indoor game. So we look forward to hopefully getting him in here and see what he can do."

#18 overall: Ethan Homler, Binghamton University

Tommy's Take: "Ethan's a good striker. Our assistant coach, Casey Murphy, identified him and I spoke to head coach Paul Marco, who had nothing but great praise and thinks he can play in the indoor game."

#32 overall: Leroy Enzugusi, Drake Men's Soccer

Tommy's Take: "Leroy actually was selected by Nashville... last year in MLS SuperDraft. He played with Des Moines Menace last year and Balesy talked to Hewerton... he's a fantastic player and we look forward to bringing him in, but he went back to Drake University for the season... hopefully, we get him here soon."

Utica City FC returns home on December 28th to celebrate their Season Ticket Member game. Tickets are available at uticacityfc.com/tickets or by calling the box office at 315-790-9070.
