UTICA CITY FC MAKES THREE SELECTIONS IN 2022 MASL PRO PLAYER COMBINE DRAFT

DALLAS, TX- Utica City FC made three selections last night at the 2022 MASL Pro Player Combine Draft following three days of scouting at the Pro Player Combine held in Mesquite, TX. 

Round 1: Archie Filliter

- Position: Defender

- Former Club: Fayetteville Fury (NISL)

- Hometown: Bristol, UK

Round 2: Wilver Crespo

- Position: Midfielder

- Former Club: MiraCosta College

- Hometown: San Marcos, CA

Round 3: Jose Herrera 

- Position: Midfielder

- Former Club: Orlando SeaWolves (MASL)

Following the draft, General Manager Tommy Tanner said the following about his picks: "I am really excited to bring these three players that we selected to Utica. All have indoor experience and bring a different and unique style of play to the field. Archie, Wilver, and Jose were ranked very highly on our draft board and all fill a need we targeted in the draft."

Head Coach Hewerton Moreira echoed the sentiment: "What an amazing event planned by the MASL front office and Mesquite Outlaws! We coaches, GM, and owners were able to evaluate talented players and exchange experience in order to make the league stronger every year. I believe that Tommy and I made a great choice with the three picks we had. I am looking forward to see the players at our UCFC training camp starting in November."
