UTICA CITY FC ADDS ROSTER DEPTH AHEAD OF WEEKEND MATCHES

UTICA, N.Y. – Utica City FC announced today that the team has signed Austin Savage, Domenico Vitale, and Marcelo Moreira. Per team and league policies, the terms of the agreements were not disclosed.

Juventus and A.D. Sao Caetano. He also played in the 2013 Jewish Olympic Games for the Jewish-Brazilian National Team.

Savage, 27, makes his debut as an arena player after spending his career outdoors, most recently with Lowcountry United FC of the United Premier Soccer League. The 5’9’’, 175-pound, midfielder was named UPSL National Player of the Week when he scored two goals with four assists in a single game win against FC Cardinals. He also spent three seasons with the Charleston Battery, scoring one goal in 17 appearances. Prior to turning pro, the forward played four seasons at Clemson University.

The 5’11” defender has played with the Syracuse Silver Knights since 2013. He was the team’s Rookie of the Year in his first season and won the Silver Knights Unsung Hero award the next. Vitale also received the team’s defensive player of the year honors for the 2016-17 season.

“Obviously we have had a great start to the season and the games will be coming thick and fast,” said General Manager Tommy Tanner. “Therefore, adding these guys to the roster will help provide us with the valuable depth that will help us through a very demanding schedule. These guys all bring valuable attributes to the team. Domenico and Marcelo also have tons of experience which we can utilize to our strength.”
