UTICA CITY INKS HEAD COACH HALL THROUGH 2021-22 SEASON

Utica, N.Y. – Utica City FC announced today that Ryan Hall has signed a three-year extension as head coach through the 2021-22 season.

Hall led City to a 17-7 record and an Eastern Division regular season title in the team’s inaugural season. He was also named December’s MASL Coach of the Month and a finalist for Coach of the Year.

“Ryan signing on for three years gives us stability and great leadership going forward as an organization,” said general manager Tommy Tanner. “Ryan has put all his time and effort into coaching and the ability for the team to have a full-time head coach moving forward shows the commitment the organization has made to Ryan and the players. I am very excited for Ryan and I’m looking forward to the season.”

Hall, who is no stranger to Central New York after playing NCAA Division I soccer at Syracuse University and professionally with the Syracuse Salty Dogs and the Rochester Rhinos, has gained extensive experience throughout the U.S.

“Last season in Utica was an incredible experience but one with unfinished business. The management and I are on the same page and I’m grateful they decided to reinvest in me and offer me the chance to be the full-time head coach of the team,” said Hall. “I’m looking forward to getting started on the new season. We’ve recruited a lot of great talent and secured many of our staple players. We are planning and making the investments now to be champions come April.”

In addition to his local involvement, Hall, who grew up in Northern Virginia, has also spent significant years playing the indoor game. This includes spells at the Cleveland Force, Chicago Storm, California Cougars, and New Jersey Ironmen. As a natural leader on the field, Hall smoothly transitioned into coaching and has attained valuable experience from youth to the professional ranks.
