UTICA CITY LOOKS TO EXTINGUISH HEAT

Tonight's Game: The Utica City FC looks to extinguish the Harrisburg Heat.

Last Game: Utica City beat the Mississauga Metro Stars in a dramatic way. With two goals less than 27 seconds apart from each other, Utica City won 5-4. Slavisa Ubiparipovic scored a goal with under one-minute remaining in the game to tie it up and then with 13 seconds to go Joey Tavernese scored the game winner.

Head-to-Head: This will be the third meeting between these two teams this season. Utica City won the first two matchups outscoring the Heat 19-12.

Scouting the Heat: The Heat are currently last in the Eastern Division standings with a record of 1-5. Eleven players have multiple goals on the season and one player being in double digits for points. In their only win of the season Tavoy Morgan scored the game winner. They played the Baltimore Blast yesterday Saturday January 12th and lost 9-4.

Goal Scoring: Slavisa Ubiparipovic leads the team with nine goals on the season. He scored the tying against Mississauga on Friday that lead to the game winner. He also leads the team in points with 16 on the season.

Power Play Power: Utica City leads the Eastern Conference Division in power play percentage with .417. They have five power play goals on 12 power plays. Utica also leads in penalty kill percentage with a rating of .667 and the only short-handed goal in the Eastern Division.

Top Tier Coach: Ryan Hall was named Coach of the Month for December. He led his team to a 5-1 record and his team is top in the Eastern Conference Division. This is only Hall’s second season as an MASL head coach.

Reinforcements: Utica City will get additional help today with the return of Captain Bo Jelovac who was suspended for one game due to a red-card penalty against the Milwaukee Wave. Also returning to the line-up is Andre Braithwaite, Darren Toby and Jake Schindler.

Next Game: Utica City travels to St. Louis to take on the Ambush on Saturday January 19 at 8:05 p.m. They return home on Sunday, January 27 to tackle the Orlando SeaWolves.
