UTICA CITY WRAPS UP TEXAS TRIP IN DALLAS

Tonight’s Game: Utica City continues their Big Texas Tour 2020 against the Dallas Sidekicks. Kickoff is at 8:35 p.m. EST.

Last Game: Utica City jumped out to a 4-1 lead and never looked back as they rolled to an 8-5 victory over the Mesquite Outlaws Thursday night at Mesquite Arena. Bo Jelovac, Moises Gonzalez, and Momo all scored two goals apiece, while Nate Bourdeau and Jake Schindler added one goal each. Andrew Coughlin made 14 saves in the win.

Head to Head: This is the first ever meeting between Utica and Dallas. The two teams will meet again on March 14 at the Adirondack Bank Center.

Scouting the Sidekicks: Dallas comes in with a record 2-12 and sits in last place in the Western Division. They most recently fell to the Monterrey Flash 14-4 Monday night. Arthur Ivo leads the offense with 11 points, followed by Luiz Felipe Xavier de Andrade and Freddy Moojen with 10 points. Juan Gamboa is the leading goalkeeper with a record of 2-8, a 6.71 goals-against average, and a .647 save percentage. 

White Hot: Bo Jelovac has been on fire lately. Jelovac has seven points (5-2-7) in his last two games and 12 points (7-5-12) in his last four games. He also has recorded three or more points in four of his last five games. The captain has 24 points (11-13-24) in 13 games. 

Power Surge: Utica’s power play is starting to come alive. City has scored at least one power play goal in back-to-back games, going 3-5 in those games. Utica’s power play ranks seventh in the MASL at 40%.

Multi-Point Master: Moises Gonzalez has been picking up multi-point games like it’s his job. Gonzalez has multi-point efforts in back-to-back games and in four of his last five games. He also has six total multi-point games this season, including a five-point game back in November. The forward has 21 points (13-9-21) in 13 games this season.

Nasty Nate: After a bit of a slow start to the season, Nate Bourdeau has started turn things around. Bourdeau is riding a three-game point streak, picking up five points (3-2-5) during that stretch. He also has 10 points (5-5-10) in his last six games. The midfielder has 15 points (6-9-15) in 13 games this year.
