UTICA FINISHES UP THREE-GAME ROAD TRIP IN HARRISBURG

Tonight's Game: Utica City FC wraps up their three-game road trip against the Harrisburg Heat. Kickoff at PA Farm Show Arena is at 7:35 p.m.

Last Game: Ben Ramin tallied a hat trick but it wouldn’t be enough as Utica City fell 9-6 to the Kansas City Comets Sunday night at Silverstein Eye Centers Arena. Joey Tavernese scored a pair of goals and Bo Jelovac chipped in a goal as well. Andrew Coughlin finshed with 16 saves in the loss.

Head-to-Head: This is the fourth matchup between Utica and Harrisburg this season. City leads the season series 3-0, most recently topping the Heat 6-4 back on January 13. Utica has outscored Harrisburg 25-16 through three games.

Scouting the Heat: Harrisburg comes in with a record of 1-7 on the season and sit in last place in the Eastern Division. They most recently fell to the Baltimore Blast 6-5 last Saturday. Ricardo Carvalho leads the offense with 12 points, followed by Daniel Villela with nine points. William Banahene is the leading goalkeeper with a 1-4 record, a 7.55 goals-against average, and .500 save percentage.

Bounce Back: Look for Utica to bounce back after Sunday’s loss. City has not lost consecutive games this season. They have outscored opponents 13-9 in the game after a loss. Additionally, Utica has gone on two three-game winning streaks following a loss.

High Powered: Look for Utica to take advantage while on the power play tonight. City’s power play ranks fourth in the MASL at 50%, while Harrisburg’s penalty kill is second worst in the league, clocking in at 33.3%. Utica has scored three power play goals against Harrisburg so far in the season series.

Spreading It Around: A big reason for Utica’s success this season can be attributed to their ability to spread around the offense. All but one player has scored at least one goal this season and every rostered player has at least a point. Five players have at 10 or more points this season and two have 20 or more.

Toby From The Block: Darren Toby is quietly having a strong season. Toby has already tied his point total from last season. He also leads Utica in blocked shots with 16. Toby has eight points (2-6-8) in 10 games this season.

Next Game: Utica City returns home Sunday afternoon to take on the Orlando SeaWolves. Kickoff at the Adirondack Bank Center is at 2 p.m. Tickets are available by calling the Box Office at (315) 790-9070 or by visiting www.empirestatetix.com.
